May 16
Vote4Sal’s good friend, Todd Devlin, from The 500 Level Blog recently sent this to us:
“When I did the math back on May 1, Sal had 46 home runs in 1020 career at-bats (one every 22.17 AB’s). Meanwhile, Vernon Wells had 145 in 3333 at-bats (one every 22.97 AB’s). Not sure what it is now, but Sal has to have a higher homer-per-at-bat ratio than most, if not all the catchers on the All-Star ballot. Check it out.”
Thanks, Todd. And now we have even more evidence to back up our overwhelmingly strong case for putting Sal in the game full of stars.
