About vote4sal.com
During the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, American League
catchers Ivan Rodriguez and Joe Mauer went a combined 0 for 4 at the
plate while surrendering two stolen bases to the National League.
It was, to say the least, nauseating.
The fans have had enough of this AL All-Star backstop ineptitude. And that’s
why it’s time for a change. That’s why it’s time to bring some fresh blood
into the 2007 MLB All-Star Game.
Obviously, it’s time for Sal.
Sal Fasano is a 35 year-old catcher on the Toronto Blue Jays.
He has a lifetime batting average of .222.
He also happens to have the world’s coolest Fu Manchu mustache.
What more does the man need to qualify?
Let us look to the future, forget the past, and help make a change
that will most certainly guarantee an American League pounding of the
Senior Circuit.
Send Sal to San Francisco on July 10, 2007.
Vote early (ends at 11:59 PM ET on Thursday, June 28, 2007) and often
(up to 25 times!).*
* Sal Fasano is not actually listed on the All-Star ballot (ridiculous!), so remember to NOT select an American League catcher and then put Sal’s full name in the write-in text box at the bottom of the ballot.
